Dear Valued Customers,
We regret to advise that, following departure from Apia, NPDL CALIFORNIA experienced a mechanical failure and is being diverted to Lautoka, Fiji, to undertake repairs. As a result, the vessel is unable to continue her scheduled V.2613N voyage to Long Beach and Oakland. Her subsequent V.2615S voyage, scheduled to depart Long Beach on 14 September 2026, has therefore also been cancelled.
We are working closely with NPDL to minimise the disruption and provide the best available recovery solutions for affected cargo.
NPDL CALIFORNIA V.2613N: Recovery Plan
For cargo currently on board NPDL CALIFORNIA V.2613N destined for the US West Coast, we are working with NPDL to arrange for the cargo to be discharged in Apia and transferred to SONGA TIGER V.2614N for onward carriage to the United States. This recovery solution is intended to minimise delays and restore cargo movement at the earliest available opportunity.
NPDL CALIFORNIA V.2615S: Voyage Cancellation
As an immediate recovery measure, bookings currently confirmed and or planned on the cancelled NPDL CALIFORNIA V.2615S will be transferred to SONGA TIGER V.2616S.
Our teams continue to evaluate alternative solutions that may allow affected cargo to be delivered earlier. Should an improved recovery option become available, we will provide a further update and work directly with affected customers to implement the revised arrangements.
We appreciate your understanding and patience while repairs are undertaken and the cargo recovery plans are progressed. Our teams remain closely engaged with NPDL and will provide further updates as additional information becomes available.
Please contact your local Swire Shipping representative should you require assistance or further information regarding your shipments.
Yours sincerely,
Swire Shipping
Thanks,
