Swire Shipping is committed to reducing our greenhouse footprint, providing sustainable and efficient services. We are continuing to invest in vessel upgrades to comply with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements for our vessels calling California ports.
Investments to comply with CARB are significant, therefore we will be implementing an emissions surcharge to cover this.
The emissions surcharge will be effective 1 July 2023 for all import and export containers through Long Beach and Oakland.
