SOFRANA ANL
GENERAL RATE ADJUSTMENT

Dear Valued Customer

The current challenges being faced in the global shipping industry continue to escalate and the Pacific region is not immune from these. Vessel charter rates have doubled and in some cases tripled; port stay times have increased due to labour and equipment availability; and increasing cargo volumes has lead to landside congestion. Berth congestion continues to be problematic throughout several ports in the Pacific region.

The COVID-19 safety precautions that are in place have resulted in schedule delays through additional port calls being required in order to undertake much needed crewing changes. These and other on-going challenges including increased bio-security measures have led to a significant increase in the costs of operating shipping services.

We have made many internal changes to our own processes and organisation in order to reduce costs to minimise the effect of the increases, however in order to allow us to continue to serve the Pacific region as we have for over 50 years, adjustments to our freight rates are required.

Therefore effective 1 July 2021, the following increases will take effect across all Sofrana ANL trade lanes within the Pacific region:

USD 300 per 20′ dry and reefer
USD 600 per 40′ dry and reefer
USD 115 per W/M on all breakbulk

We appreciate that this will have a significant effect on your costs and thank you for your understanding and on-going support which allows us to continue to service this large and diverse region.

If you have any questions, please contact your local Sofrana ANL representative.

Kind regards
SOFRANA ANL

Thanks,

WCP.
