Port Congestion Surcharge – New Zealand

18th November 2020

Dear Valued Customers,

Due to significant disruption to our network of services resulting from congestion issues at Ports of Auckland and resulting delays at the Port of Tauranga and other coastal ports, we will be implementing a Congestion Surcharge of USD 210 per teu and USD 12.35 per revenue tonne.

This surcharge will be applicable to all cargoes loading out of and into New Zealand ports. The surcharge will be in effect for all vessels departing from or arriving in New Zealand ports on or after 18th December.

The congestion surcharge is to contribute to the additional costs incurred resulting from the ongoing delays through these ports that are outside of our control & this surcharge will be removed when the situation improves.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Pacific Direct Line
