News

Dear Valued Customers,

As many will be already aware, the Sofrana Surville (Voyage 266) has been delayed off the coast of Queensland because of potential COVID-19 cases on-board. Tests were carried out by the Queensland Health Authorities on Wednesday 21 October, with results returned on Thursday 22nd. As a result 2 crew members have been evacuated from the vessel and are now in the Sunshine Coast Hospital, where we wish them a speedy recovery.

The vessel must now quarantine for a 14 day period, during which further testing of the crew will be undertaken to determine whether any additional cases arise. The vessel can not berth in Brisbane until cleared by the Health Authorities, as things may change during this initial quarantine period we are unable to confirm a date for berthing at this time.

We are working through various options to ensure that cargo awaiting loading in Brisbane, and already on board the vessel can reach destination at the earliest opportunity and we appreciate your patience while we finalise the plans for this. Regrettably there will be a delay, but rest assured that we are doing all possible to minimise this.

We will provide a further update once more information becomes available to us from the authorities.

Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.

Kind Regards,

SOFRANA ANL, CMA CGM & ANL
